Abel "Mickey" Watson

I was born in Liberia Africa and moved to the U.S when I was 8 years old. I grew up in West Philadelphia playing just about every sport: Soccer, Lacrosse, Basketball, Football, and Baseball.

I was granted a scholarship to play soccer at Episcopal Academy in 8th grade. After my freshman year, I transferred to South Kent School, an all-boys boarding school in Connecticut. At South Kent, I earned recognition as the CT Gatorade State Player of the Year (2014-15) and was named a High School All-American. I continued my soccer career at Loyola University Maryland, where I captained the team for three years. I received numerous accolades, including being named to the All-Patriot League First Team (2017), earning recognition as a Senior CLASS Award Candidate (2018), and securing a spot on the Preseason All-Patriot League Team (2018). I had a season-ending injury my senior year which led to a transfer to Syracuse University for a medical redshirt year. My playing career ended there due to another injury.
